Sherry joined the Gilmore & Gilmore team in September 1998. Her area of expertise is litigation and although she works primarily for Shawna Downey in her Family Law practice, she also assists Jamie Gilmore with Estate Litigation and other court related matters.
Sherry is also a Commissioner for Taking Oaths appointed by the Attorney General of Ontario and is knowledgeable in many other areas of practice including, but not limited to, Criminal Law, By-law Enforcement Prosecutions, Zoning/Official Plan Amendments, Ontario Municipal Board Hearings as well as Civil Litigation and Mortgage Enforcement. Prior to joining Gilmore and Gilmore, Sherry worked with the Ministry of the Environment and Insurance Crime Prevention Bureau.
Sherry was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from Thistletown Collegiate Institute with Honours and obtained her Diploma in Legal Secretarial Studies from Retter Business College in May 1987. Sherry also has several Certificates for completing computer software courses, including a Netware Systems Manager Certificate.
Sherry and her family moved to Tottenham in 1995. She is a parent volunteer and has also been an assistant coach/volunteer with the Tottenham Minor Softball Association. Sherry spends her free time enjoying golf, baseball, basketball and swimming.
