IRP
DND Relocation Information

In April of 1999 the Department of National Defence (DND) contracted out to Royal LePage Relocation Services (RLRS) the responsibility of moving DND Personnel when posted from their existing location to a new location.  The Program was called the Integrated Relocation Pilot Program.  The  IRPP had an initial contract term of two years.  The contract was renewed for a further period of two years (to 2003) and has now been renewed for five more years (to 2008). The Program is now called the Integrated Relocation Program.

Members of the Canadian Armed Forces who are posted are entitled to certain benefits that are designed

to recover the costs incurred in moving from one posting to the next.

The benefits are generally contained within the members Core Entitlement, Enhanced Core and Customized Funding Envelope.

The Core Entitlement covers basic relocation expenses such as real estate commission, legal fees, moving of household goods and effects and house cleaning expenses.

The Enhanced Core provides additional funding entitlement based in part on the circumstances of the

posted CF Member.  The Customized Funding Envelope varies from member to member based on a number of different considerations.

When you have completed your move, you will receive all of the money that remains in your Customized Funding Envelope.  Although this is a taxable benefit, it will still be 'money in your pocket.'

Contact us to discuss how to maximize your Customized Funding Envelope and the 'money in your pocket' after your posting is completed.
